Dr Marcus Ellis has recently completed a doctorate on the aesthetics of Euripidean tragedy at Peterhouse, Cambridge. He was the inaugural William Ritchie Visiting Research Fellow at the University of Sydney. With research interests encompassing Greek drama, epic, and lyric, and Classical reception in Germany, he is concerned equally with close reading and the conceptual and philosophical background to literature.
